Hundreds join march

Support Palestinians facing deportation

About 300 people marched along Ste. Catherine St. yesterday to protest against the threatened deportation of Palestinian refugee claimants.

In Quebec, about 100 Palestinians from camps in Lebanon and the occupied territories have seen their refugee claims rejected, according to the groups that organized the event - the Coalition for Justice and Peace in Palestine and the Coalition Against the Deportation of Palestinian Refugees.

The march ended in front of Complexe Guy Favreau, which houses federal Immigration Department offices.
